One of our favorite parades, the local Memorial Day Parade. It's a small parade down what looks like a small country road but is really a main route. This one day of the year the fifty mile an hour traffic comes to a stop for an hour or two, the lawn chairs and blankets come out and it really is like a small country road for a little while. It's also one of the friendliest parades anywhere.
Waiting for the Parade to Start

The horses are always a favorite

a little flag waving is a good thing

You know it's summer when you can get ice cream from the ice cream truck!

Parade Bounty

and of course dogs in tutus

I think they may be required by some parade by-law. But how can you not smile?
