Ribbons and Buttons - jewelry

The jewelry I have been making using ribbons, bits of yarn, lots of buttons.

First came more roses



Then away went the uncoorporative snap single closure,
and on to two ties with roses double closure.



and a scarf



now I just need some cold weather....

Alabama Love

Another Alabama Stitch style project,
as much as I really want a new sewing machine
I have to say I really love the things I have hand sewn.
This is brown cotton knit fabric, the appliques are bits of old t-shirts.

I used the same pattern that I had used for my Blue Roses top. for the front I folded the fabric on center, then cut it into thirds.

Nellie's back to school jumper

Made from the same material as my rose coat,
the flowers are scraps of flannel and t-shirts
buttons from the button jar.




and a kerchief, she loves kerchiefs and loves them even when more when they match her outfit, now she just needs a day cool enough to wear her new outfit.
